Sustainability Report 2023/2024

We began our sustainability efforts in 2023. In this regard, we aim to share the progress we’ve made with our management, employees, guests, suppliers, and all our partners, thereby increasing the awareness we create in this area and transforming it into common goals and successes.

This sustainability report contains data for the 2023/2024 period.

Water and Wastewater Management:

• Industrial Wastewater: There is no industrial wastewater at the facility.
• Other Wastewater: No cooling water or blow-off water is generated.
• Wastewater Treatment Facility: There is no wastewater treatment plant at the facility.
• Groundwater Monitoring: No groundwater is used.

Environmental Impact: We determine and control our environmental impacts. We are prepared for emergencies like pollution risks (fire, explosion, flood, earthquake, leakage, etc.) and comply with legal regulations. We strive to minimize waste, prevent pollution at the source, use energy efficiently, and reduce the environmental impact of our activities. We continuously improve our environmental performance in waste separation and reduction, and the efficient use of natural resources.

Chemical Management: Chemicals are used in the cleaning of rooms, kitchens, restaurants, bars, dishwashers, washing machines, and ice machines. The MSDS forms for the chemicals used are available, and proper storage conditions are followed.

Energy Management: Automated systems such as lighting, air conditioning, and irrigation create opportunities for savings. We aim to have a positive impact on energy values by procuring efficient, energy-saving, and eco-friendly products.

Employee and Working Life: We train our employees about chemical usage, environmental impact, and waste management. We encourage our employees and guests to be environmentally conscious. Training on environmental awareness, energy-efficient use, and sustainability is provided to employees. Our employees' awareness is regularly increased through training.

We also celebrate events like employee birthdays, Women's Day, and host entertainment activities for the staff.

Social and Cultural Activities: Serenis Hotel supports the conservation of endangered species. We have made donations to the Tema Foundation.
